Debunking myths about CBD products

To put it simply: ZBD Bed loves CBD. We are big believers in the “miracle drug” and its positive effects and various helpful applications. We produce mattresses, mattress toppers, and pillows, each of which is infused with only the highest quality 99% pure CBD with no THC. Although it is derived from the marijuana plant, CBD does not have the psychoactive effects of THC. CBD has been proven to treat many conditions including anxiety, depression, epilepsy, acne, heart problems, and more. It is still being extensively studied to this day and more uses are constantly discovered.

We infuse CBD into our products because we believe that it does good for the body. Our customers rave about them and the positive effects on their nightly rest. But regardless of all the good that CBD has done and will continue to do for our customers and people around the world, there are still negative myths about CBD and CBD products. In this post, you will discover some of the most common myths about CBD products and why they are not true.

Myths about CBD products

CBD does not actually do anything

This is a very common myth, one that most are familiar with. The effectiveness of CBD all depends on what you are taking it for. As with any medicine, you should only take CBD if you have a reason to do so. If you are taking CBD to treat a condition, especially one that it is known to help with, it will more than likely do something for you. But if you are just taking it because you think it is the cool thing to do right now, it probably will not help you in any way. Be smart about your CBD use and do not claim that it does not do anything unless you are taking it for a prescribed reason.

CBD is a marketing scam

The reason people claim that CBD is a marketing scam is because it is in many products that we see daily. It can be argued that it does not to be in some of the products that it is found in. As said on healthline.com, just because some CBD applications are a little unnecessary does not mean that all applications are unnecessary. CBD is prevalent because it really does have many useful applications and whether you choose to believe that is up to you, but don’t knock it until you try it as a medical treatment.

All CBD products do the same thing

This myth is just blatantly not true and not very thought-out. CBD products vary because of the type of CBD oil that is put into them. The different types of CBD oil are full spectrum, broad spectrum, and isolate. To put it simply, full spectrum CBD contains all the different types of cannabinoids that are found in the plant. Isolate oil is “pure”; all the cannabinoids are removed, and it is simply an oil. Broad spectrum oil is a mixture of full spectrum and isolate oils. Depending on what CBD products you purchase, they can have a different kind of oil in them. These differences in oil may have different effects on the user, so it is up to you to decide which kind you want to use.

CBD cures every health problem

Even though no one that utilizes CBD products claims that it cures absolutely every health problem, this myth is still around for some reason. Unlike other medicines, CBD is much newer to the industry. It is still under heavy testing before it becomes normalized in our society as a medicine. In the future, it is possible that nearly every medicine could have CBD in it as we attempt to move away from addictive opioids. Only time will tell on that front, but for now consult your doctor and see if CBD is right for your medical condition.

CBD products are addictive

The answer to this myth is an easy no. CBD is not considered a “drug” as something like Tylenol is. It is more of a supplement that is meant to ease the effects of medical conditions. CBD is natural and comes from a plant, so it is much harder to get addicted to. You may build a reliance on it due to the dramatically positive results you may receive, but you will not become addicted to this helpful supplement.
